A little bit of our history

Rancho serra do cachimbo

desde 2009

The enterprise was born from Renê Alves’s passion for sport fishing. A angler since childhood, he was one of the presenters of the program “Pesca Mato Grosso” and at that time he had the opportunity to get to know several regions and fishing places throughout the Brazil.

In 2009, he visited the Braço Norte River, in the extreme north of the state of Mato Grosso, on the border with the state of Pará, in the city of Guarantã do Norte.

The place provided a relatively easy fishing for a species that is fascinating: the trairão, a fish with a prehistoric look, bad-looking, very voracious and that gives a real show when hooked.

Even people who went fishing for the first time in the region caught good specimens and came back with good stories to tell.

Soon, the fisherman saw the opportunity to create a fishing lodge in a specific region, rustic, but with a lot of comfort and that service from angler to angler.

Today, Rancho Serra do Cachimbo is the realization of a dream from this nature lover.

This entire structure is available for anglers from all over Brazil and the world, who find here a true paradise to practice a sport within a simply indescribable biome.
